Elena Masoero trained as an actor in Italy at Teatro Studio Salvini School, Milan, subsequently renamed Teatro Obliquo. While training as an actor Elena also gained a degree in Foreign Languages and Literature from the University of Milan. Elena worked as an actor for Teatro Obliquo Theatre Company for seven years and also studied with some of Eugenio Barba’s actors from Odin Teatret and with some of the pupils of Jerzy Grotowksi. Elena’s training also includes: Commedia dell’Arte, clowning, masks work, Balinese masks, Kalarippayattu, Kathakali etc. In 1998 she moved to Edinburgh where she worked as an actor, theatre practitioner, lecturer and has gained a vast experience in teaching and delivering workshops for children, young adults and elderly. In 2004 she gained an MPhil in Theatre Studies from the University of Glasgow and in 2005 she set up Seven Doors Theatre Company. Elena has taught at Queen Margaret University as a visiting lecturer for a semester a year in 2010 and 2011.

Sheila Macdougall has a BA in English from the University of Toronto and an MA in Theatre from San Diego State University. She has over thirty years’ experience teaching and delivering workshops to a broad spectrum of children, young people and adults in the USA and Scotland. She taught Creative Drama and Theatre for Young Audiences for 10 years in the Department of Theatre, Television and Film at San Diego State University. She studied Viewpoints with Mary Overlie and Anne Bogart, and has incorporated this practice into her work for over twenty-five years. In Scotland she has worked with arts organisations including the Talbot Rice Gallery, The Lighthouse, Dance Base, Plutôt La Vie, Seven Doors, Magnetic North, and Catherine Wheels.
